Honesty Seemed to be the Hardest Word

Honesty Seemed to be the Hardest Word

“Honesty is such a lonely word, everyone is so untrue…”

As the lyrics go, I am not in any way aiming my cannons to anybody. It is just the fact that they seemed to be gazed by my write-ups although they are not whom I am pertaining to.

Perhaps, even at the birth of mankind, dishonest people lurked or simply roamed around in every corner of the society. And nowadays, we keep on hearing corruption here and elsewhere. It seems that dishonesty is like a cancer that cannot be cured. The only difference is that it can be and can surely be beneficial.

As I’ve mentioned earlier, political corruption is the perennial target of blame from among the society. But in my very own point of view, we should first take a look at the primary root. It’s not actually my ambition to be a preacher someday but all I can say that dishonest starts at home. Even a petty thievery from dad’s pocket or from mom’s sales can be considered dishonesty.

Next in line is the institution where we thrive, the school. Of course, in order to earn high marks, some have resorted to copying and to make the situation worse, massive cheating. Having such unnatural characteristic is of course beneficial. The only problem with regards to dishonesty is most of the time they make it as a habit. Now, it creeps up to almost every major player in the society, mostly government officials. Then people started complaining to these congressmen, senators that if one is getting higher grades in school, if the senator is enriching himself, nobody cares about honesty.

Generally, dishonesty is like shooting a person. If you are not caught, then you don’t even care despite your conscience. Like in school, if you were not caught cheating by anyone around, then you doesn’t care about it. Well, if that is the case, never mind the eighth commandment.

“Honesty is hardly ever heard, and mostly what I need from you…”

What Has Life to Offer me?

What Has Life to Offer me?

“To be or not to be”

This is the famous opening phrase of a soliloquy in William Shakespeare's play HamletIn the soliloquy, Hamlet questions the meaning of life, and whether or not it is worthwhile to stay alive when life contains so many hardships. He comes to the conclusion that the main reason people stay alive is due to a fear of death and uncertainty at what lies beyond life.

Perhaps, his view upon this phrase is merely acceptable beyond reasonable stipulation. Nowadays, as days and months walk by, people stumble upon more than a few colossal dilemmas which continue to ponder. These quandaries comprise of escalating water and electric bills, prices of daily necessities, tuition hike et cetera. These indeed protract the burden of the society when it comes to finances. But in our case, the heap of home works and projects and the hoard of lectures to study are those that we regard as the burden. Every day when I wake up at five, those hard day’s works hinder my way out of my bed. I’m always thinking of the Friday, for weekend comes after Friday. But still I need to get out of my bed and impede another day of adversity and triumphs. Day by day, this is how my morning undergoes. And when I got home late in the afternoon, bundles of assignments are ahead of me. Occasionally, I even finished all my chores at around 11 in the evening, indeed too late for a young individual to sleep.

Those were just few of millions of predicaments that trigger the humanity and almost certainly, bring about positive and negative corollaries. In fact, the consequence purely depends on the person, in the way how he/she treats the problem or how he/she deals with it.  Perhaps, there would be a pessimistic upshot if a person deals with the problem negatively. On the other hand, an affirmative one if he/she mingles with it optimistically.

Life is too petite to burden yourself with those pondering dilemmas on your left and right shoulders. It is neither extended to thrash out the possible dilemmas that may come your way. All you have to do is to mitigate the burden of heaped problems and think of something that can make you relaxed and unwind. Turn your attention to music, for I suppose music makes all things dazzling. Or go on reading books and novels, for you can pick out a thousand thoughts and ideas that can alleviate your tension.

In short, just think of the positive side and put out of your mind the pessimistic ones. Instead, live life to the fullest.

Ten Reasons Why I Love our English Class

Ten Reasons Why I Love our English Class

‘Twas early this month of June when it all started
A noble teacher came and we are all delighted
Who charms our lives and touches our hearts
Which made us crestfallen whenever we’re apart.

A worthy mentor who has never been absent
And tries her very best to always be present
She never gets tired of having lessons presented
And numerous knowledge to be executed

Complex words were taught, new skills were initialized
And recitation was finally realized
Idioms were analyzed, verbals were implanted
Of course, infinitives came to be unfolded.

There goes R & J which awestruck majority
And hooked up the hearts and minds of the entity
Everyone seemed to be charmed and fascinated
By our cluster’s librettos in which I molded

There was this moment when they all obtained zero
Except to three of us which boosted my ego
That moment instigates me to lift myself up
Despite the impasses which arrive and holds me up

From then on I was enthused to hoist myself up
And try my very best to stand out and show up
That in spite of not being in the class standing
I can show what I got no matter the bleeding

Laptop as one application of Information and Communications Technology

The use of laptop as one application of Information and Communications Technology. Nowadays, highly-industrialized countries including the Philippines are now depending on the high-level technology brought about by innovation.
In my opinion, the use of laptop has an immense help not just for us students but at the same time, the other populace including teachers, office workers, managers, etc. It is best suited for research and social networking anytime, for it is portable. But without proper use or misuse, we could not enjoy the benefit brought about by the laptop. We should use it properly and not to demoralize or defame other specific people or racial groups.
