My Modern Day Heroes

           Everyday, we are bombarded by copious dilemmas which make us feeble and weak. Dilemmas which make us think to give up. But as these crises keep on striking us, there are these persons who never give up on us. They never get tired of hooking us up. Aside from that, they never fail to be at our side whenever we call for them.

           Even on my first day on Earth, they never failed to protect me, to cherish me. For instance, they never sleep all night long during brown-out times just to keep me safe and comfortable. I never cried 'cause I'm hungry. I'm always nourished with nutritious foods. 

           Until I went schooling, they never left me alone. I remember the day when I first got into the school as a nursery student way back 2003. I always stare at the window to see if my mom is still there. If I missed her once, I shouted and cried. So what my mom got to do is to hang out in facade of the window till the class ends. This made her usual routine for the first two weeks of school. During the end of every class in the afternoon, she always picked me up in the school and sacrificed our sari-sari store for a short while.

           When I stepped up to the elementary level, they're always been there at my side giving some motivations and skills. Although I encountered a serious problem to my classmate, still they never left me alone in the principal's office. Until the preceding years, they always look at the brighter side of me and they nurture and hone it for me to attain the top. That's the reason why in spite of inequalities and deceits in terms of grading system still I ended up as the salutatorian of my former Alma Mater.

          If I could reach the highest stars for them, I'll do so. That's how I love my parents, Gloria and Romeo. In my 14 years here on Earth they never lost at my side. They never forget to love and take good care of me. I love you mommy and daddy!
